Vice President's Report of Upcoming Events

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

The St. Andrews Dinner was enjoyed by all who attended. If you missed it, make sure you put it on your calendar for 2010. Many, many thanks to our hosts.

And a huge thank you to all who made our Christmas Party a success. Especially Shona and her lassies who entertained all our beautiful children. Mr. and Mrs. Claus, where did you get your elves????

Hogmanay – January 1st 2010
Come all!! And enjoy!! Scots all over the world celebrate this tradition. Please bring a covered dish - heavy hors d’oeuvres - enough for you and your guests.

From I-285 and I-85 North
1. Head northeast on I-85 N - 10.4 Miles
2. Take exit 106 to merge onto GA-316 E/University Pkwy toward Lawrenceville/ Athens - 7.2 Miles
3. Turn left at Buford Dr/GA-124 N - 0.7 Mi
4. Turn right at Braselton Hwy/GA-124 N 1.7 Mi.
5. Turn right at Old Fountain Rd. - 285 Feet
6. Take the 1st right onto Arthur Dr NE.
7. Destination will be first drive on the right.

Burns Night Dinner – January 30th 2010
You surely won’t want to miss the Burns Night Dinner at Marietta Country Club, 1400 Marietta Country Club Drive, Kennesaw, Ga., 30152.

6:30 p.m. socializing and 7:15 p.m. dinner. See this issue for reservation form and driving instructions. Make early bird reservations and save!

Kirkin O’ The Tartans - January 31st 2010
Join us at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church. Represent your Clan and carry your banner high. St. Andrew’s members please contact Don Malcolm at 770-458-2745 or donmalcolm@msn.com to have your tartan banner brought to the church. See Don’s article in this issue for more details.

Bring a covered dish, enough for all your guests, and join us at 6:30 PM for “Castles with a Tea” presented by Beth Gay.

Please come about 5:30 if you can help set up tables and chairs, stay after our meeting to put them away, vacuum and leave the hall better than we found it. We want to make sure that the FOP continues to appreciate us as we enjoy using their facility.
